Welcome, reaching out for support isn’t always easy, and I truly honour the courage it takes to take that first step. I’ve learned just how powerful authenticity and connection can be in the healing process. My approach is grounded in warmth, relationship, and genuine care - I believe that healing begins when we feel seen, safe, and accepted for who we are. In our work together, my hope is to create a space where you can reconnect with yourself and find your way forward, one conversation at a time.
Hi, I’m Allannah
I am a Registered Social Worker with over 10 years of experience supporting children, youth, adults, and parents in strengthening their emotional well-being and fostering meaningful, lasting change. I help individuals feel less overwhelmed and more grounded, confident, and compassionate—both with themselves and the people they care about.
I have experience supporting children aged 6 and up, their families, youth, and adults individually helping them with emotional control, anxiety, school stress, neurodivergence, and trauma. This experience deeply informs my current work with my clients in private practice who want to better understand and support their own or their child’s nervous system.
Across public and private settings, I’ve maintained a caring, client-centered approach rooted in empathy, curiosity, and respect. As an active member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers, I draw on evidence-based, trauma-informed, and relational methods to support healing and sustainable growth.
Whether you’re navigating trauma recovery, parenting stress, life transitions, or your child is struggling with big emotions or overwhelm, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore challenges at your own pace. My goal is to help you strengthen emotional regulation, deepen self-understanding, and reconnect with your inner resilience.
Together, we’ll work toward meaningful, sustainable change creating more ease, balance, and connection in your life, your relationships, and your family.

Child (6+) and Youth Therapy
I provide direct therapy for children and youth using a relational, regulation-first approach grounded in connection, compassion, and understanding. Sessions are paced with your child’s nervous system in mind so they feel safe, seen, and supported.
-

Neurodivergence
A child who is not accepted for who they are does not learn how to love and accept themself. I have a strong passion for providing a neurodiversity-affirming, brain and relationship based approach to counselling and psychotherapy that respects how each individual shows up in this world
-

Parenting Support
Parenting can be one of the most rewarding and most challenging experiences in life. My approach to parenting/caregiver support and counselling is grounded in relationship, compassion, and understanding. Together, we explore the dynamics between you and your child with curiosity and care, focusing on connection over perfection.
-

Trauma
Trauma can deeply shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world around us. Whether it stems from a single event or years of painful experiences, its effects can leave us feeling disconnected, anxious, or unsure of who we are. Healing is possible and it begins with safety, understanding, and connection.
Education & Qualifications
I believe in being transparent about my education and professional qualifications as a way to demonstrate my skills, knowledge, and expertise as a Registered Social Worker in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. This transparency helps establish trust and confidence, the foundation of any effective therapeutic relationship.
Alongside my formal training, my diverse life experiences and ongoing personal healing journey allow me to create a safe, empathetic, and trauma-informed counselling environment where clients feel genuinely supported.
I am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and maintain professional membership with the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). My academic background includes:
An Honours Bachelor of Social Work degree from Algoma University
A Social Service Worker Diploma from Sault College
Current studies toward a Trauma Certificate through Wilfrid Laurier University
Throughout my career, I have provided individual therapy and counselling for children, youth, adults and parents, supported people through employment challenges and major life transitions, and offered crisis and trauma support across a variety of public and private settings. I have also had the privilege of working alongside First Nation communities, offering culturally grounded adult and family therapy for the past eight years.
These broad and diverse experiences have strengthened my belief in the power of genuine human connection and continue to guide the compassionate, respectful space I offer in my private practice today.
“Healing is not about becoming perfect or erasing pain. It’s about learning to be compassionate with ourselves in our brokenness and allowing our true selves to emerge.”
